After consultation with Mr. Gokey and a engineering consultant. The ISR position is that Cleats-defined as any material that is formed, shaped, stamped, machined or cast and is used to traverse the track either completely or partially. These devices are not only part of the drive system, but in some cases can be an additional traction product. This is to include full cleats, and/or what was referred to in the past as a three quarter cleat, which only traversed part of the width of the track.
Due to the extreme potential for injury and liability we must abide by the ban in its fullest definition.
FYI, small individually mounted traction devises commonly know as "studs" are allowed, but cannot and must not be part of the drive system, nor can they exceed 2 inches in width of the backer plate, and are limited to 3/8 of an inch above the highest part of the track rib or grouser.

The votes are in, and the ISR rule will change with respect to valve spring pressures for this year. Attached is a sheet that outlines what the valve spring pressures will be for each manufacturer. This means what is currently printed in the2010-2011 ISR book is going to change to reflect what you see in this attachment. I’m expecting an addendum to be published on this, from ISR. When I receive the official addendum, I’ll be sure to get this out to everyone. In the meantime, you all have the attached document to reference.
Also, Recreational Motorsports informed me that they will be making a replacement valve spring for the Polaris. As it currently stands, any springs you buy from Rec comes directly from the OEM. This will not change for the Arctic Cat or Skidoo sleds, but, by mid to late January, Rec will offer two springs for the Polaris. They will continue to offer the spring they purchase directly from Polaris, and will also offer a “Polaris replacement spring”, which they will make in-house. Again, this spring will not be available until mid to late January and this spring will meet ISR requirements for this year.
After talking with Jonn Olson on numerous occasions, Jonn indicated that his springs will meet the ISR requirements as well.
